McRae is in no rush

Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade Madonna wide receiver Fred McRae already claims a half dozen offers, with the recent addition of an in-state school.
"UCF offered me a few days ago," McRae said. "I didn't get a chance to speak with them. My coach just told me they had offered me."

At this time, McRae's offer list consists of Florida International, Illinois, Kansas, Rutgers, South Florida, and Central Florida.
The 5-foot-9, 155-pound wide receiver hasn't yet had the opportunity to make it to Orlando to check out George O'Leary's program but he is hoping that an upcoming break will provide just the right time to make that happen.
"I haven't been able to visit there yet," McRae said. "I am hoping during spring break that I may be able to get there."
The Knights are not the only squad that McRae wants to take a trip to see. He also hopes to head out-of-state to see a program in the Lone Star State.
"I am thinking about visiting Texas Tech during their spring practices," McRae said. "They haven't offered me yet, but they have been talking to me. I am talking with one of their coaches (Otis Mounds) and he has just told me they throw the ball a lot."
So far, he has hit the road for one trip, heading south to Coral Gables to check out the Miami Hurricanes.
"I went to Miami's Junior Day," McRae said. "It was good. I had a chance to meet all the new coaches. It was a real good time and I got to learn a lot about the school. They haven't offered me yet, but they are a school I will keep looking at."
With a half dozen offers to his name and interest from a number of other schools, McRae has yet to get that feeling that one school is standing out.
"It is too early right now," McRae said. "I just want to find a place with good education and that offers playing time. I just want to be part of a good offense. It doesn't matter if it is far away."
As a junior, McRae had 34 receptions for over 400 yards. He scored four touchdowns on the season.
