McQuay talks new top three

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - Rivals100 four-star safety Leon McQuay III from Seffner (Fla.) Armwood made a change in his top three this week.
"My top three are USC, Vanderbilt, and Florida State now," McQuay said.

Florida State replaced Michigan in McQuay's top three earlier this week. The Central Florida star attributes their move to the staff of the Seminoles staying in regular contact with him throughout the process.
He talked about what stands out with each of his favorites.
USC: "USC has great coaches, (defensive coordinator) Monte Kiffin. It is in California, great music city of L.A."
Vanderbilt: "Vanderbilt is the same thing. Great coaches and a good music city. They have been coming up in the SEC."
Florida State: "Another great coach in (defensive coordinator) Coach (Mark) Stoops. It is close to home. … I can tell that they want me."
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back likes the opportunity presented by all three schools.
"All of these schools I have a great opportunity to come in and play at," McQuay said. "All of these schools are telling me I can play either - safety, corner, nickel, whatever they need. I am cool with it."
With regards to having one specific leader, McQuay reports that isn't the case at this time.
"Not really," McQuay said. "I don't really have any leaders right now. I am going to these schools and trying to see what they are about. If I like it, then when it is time and I am ready I will commit."
McQuay said his five official visits will likely be used on his three favorites as well as Notre Dame and Oregon.
With making plans to take all five official visits, McQuay hopes to make a decision in late November. He will be an early enrollee at the school of his choice.
