McPhearson takes Big Ten visit

Since picking up his first offer from West Virginia, athlete Josh McPhearson of Upper Marlboro (Md.) Riverdale Baptist, has remained rather quiet. He did, however, attend a recent spring game and received a recent visit from an SEC program.
"Recruiting is going great," said McPhearson, who is 5-foot-10 and 181-pounds. "Tennessee just came by and saw me last week."

Aside from West Virginia and Tennessee, other schools that have been expressing serious interest recently are Vanderbilt, North Carolina, N.C. State, Kansas State, Oregon, LSU and Arkansas.
McPhearson also took an unofficial visit to another school.
"I went to Penn State for their spring game," he said. "It was okay. The facilities were great. It's not an offensive school, but a great defensive school."
McPhearson is not certain about future visits yet, but may attend an upcoming event.
"No visits as of now, just planning it by ear," he said. "I might go to this Nike Camp on May 1st, but I'm not sure as of right now."
He is also beginning to get an idea of when he would like to make a final decision.
"Maybe September or October, so we will see how it goes down from now to then," said McPhearson.
