McPhearson loves The Swamp

Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha wide receiver Derrick McPhearson took his final official visit this weekend. McPhearson has narrowed his list to three schools. Does McPhearson have a leader?

"No, I am still choosing from three schools. Maryland, Florida, and Virginia Tech are all still in the race and they are all even," said the 6-foot-1, 190 pound wide receiver who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.

How did McPhearson's trip to Florida go?

"It went great. I really liked it there. I felt very comfortable with the coaches and Florida is everything you can expect a top football program to be. The facilities are first class and they have great academic support programs down there."

When will Derrick announce his decision?

"I may announce Tuesday on Comcast Sportsnet but I am not sure yet. I have a lot of thinking to do before I am ready to announce. I really like all three schools and had a great time on each of my official visits. I want to take some time to talk things over with my family. Each school offers something special and I just want to make sure I make the best decision possible."
