McPhearson looking at four

Wide receiver Derrick McPhearson is entering the stretch run for recruiting, and has three visits coming up in the next month. He's narrowed his list down to four schools. Who made the cut?
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound wideout from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha runs the 40-yard dash in an impressive 4.4 seconds and has the explosiveness to turn a game around whenever the ball is in his hands.

"I'm looking at Maryland, Virginia Tech, Florida and Penn State," said McPhearson. "I've already been to Maryland on an official visit, and I really liked the coaches. They all seemed like good guys and so did the players. It's close to home, which is something else to consider."
McPhearson also has trips to Virginia Tech (Jan. 9), Penn State (Jan. 16) and Florida (Jan. 23) coming up, and a decision won't come long after he's taken those.
"I'll take those visits and see where things stand," he said. "It's not going to be one thing or two things that determine where I go, but I'll look at everything -- football, academics, social life, location, the style of football they play -- all of that. I'm going to consider all of them equally while I'm taking my visits and then I'll pick my favorite."
