McNaul taking it slow

Eden Prairie linebacker Bryce McNaul has close to a dozen scholarship offers on the table. But that doesn't neccessarily mean he is close to selecting a college.
While McNaul is looking at the schools that have offered, he is also interested in a couple that haven't.

"I'm still looking at Wisconsin," he said. "(And) Ohio State stands out.
"I just got a letter from (Ohio State assistant) Doc Tressel the other day. He let me know where they are at recruiting linebackers. They have to go slow because they signed so many last year."
While the Buckeyes are going slow with their scholarship offers to linebackers, others have already stepped forward in the case of McNaul.
"I have 10 offers now," he said. "Illinois, Army and Toledo have offered now. Cincinnati, Colorado State, Iowa State, Northwestern, Wyoming, Miami of Ohio and Central Florida have offered."
McNaul is looking at all 10 schools as well as the Buckeyes and Badgers.
"I'm trying to be smart about it," he said. "I'm taking it slow.
The 6-foot-2 and 242-pound McNaul, who has aunts and uncles who went to Ohio State, led his team to an 11-2 record during his junior season. McNaul made 143 tackles including 24 for losses. He had seven sacks and caused four fumbles.
