On the basketball court McMichael plays forward and averaged 16 points per game this past season. He has been a varsity starter in hoops since his freshman year.
McMichael has made one Big Ten visit for football and is ready for another.
"I visit Wisconsin next Sunday," McMichael said. "I'll be going to their spring practice. That's going to be the first spring practice I've been to. But I went to a Minnesota junior day.
"I'll probably go see Northwestern, Nebraska, Iowa, and go to Wisconsin's football camp in the summer. And I'm going to the NIKE Camp at Michigan.
"Nebraska and Kansas both offered for football. I don't have any basketball offers yet."
Asked if he has a top five for football, McMichael said, "Not really. It's still up in the air.
"But I'm definitely looking at Nebraska and Kansas because of their offers. And Northwestern, Stanford, Iowa, and Wisconsin."
