McLaurin ready for busy summer

Collins (Miss.) three-star athlete Mark McLaurin is soaking it all in.
He is picking up offers, he has a busy summer camp schedule, and last Thursday he helped close out Collins' spring drills in dramatic fashion.

"Spring went great. We got a W when we played Hattiesburg High. We got a W with about 8 seconds to go in the game. It was 14-12," McLaurin said. "I felt great. I improved and I'm playing receiver and safety and I'm moving all over the field."
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound standout, who is being recruited at both receiver and safety, already held a few offers coming into the spring, but he added a few more over the past few weeks.
"It's good. Everything is going great right now," McLaurin said of his recruiting process." I picked up a couple of more offers. I picked up Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State, Alcorn, and I think I picked up some more."
The new offers join Southern Miss, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Memphis, and Louisiana-Lafayette, and with spring wrapped up he is ready to hit the road.
"This week was our last week of school so I'm going to get out of here and go to some camps," McLaurin said. "I have a lot of trips on the schedule. I have Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, and Alabama."
McLaurin plans to work both offense and defense at the camps, and he is looking forward to working with and getting to know the college coaches better.
Right now, he is not ready to declare any leaders among his college choices.
"No sir, not yet," McLaurin said. "Everybody is about the same right now."
He does not have any immediate plans to make a decision at this time.
