McKnight grabs new USC offer

Steffon McKnight recently landed a new offer from USC and he said even though he doesn't know the program too well yet the Trojans have moved way up his list.
"They actually came and visited me during spring ball and then they talked to my coach and he said they like me," McKnight said. "My coach called me and told me they offered me a scholarship.

"I really don't know much. I haven't looked into them too much but I most definitely will be looking into them now."
McKnight is a 6-foot-1, 165-pound four-star wide receiver in the 2016 class from San Diego (Calif.) Mira Mesa who said USC now moves into his top five.
The 2016 prospect said he's not well-versed on many things about the USC program but he plans to do his research and see exactly where the Trojans stand in his recruitment.
"That's a very big offer," McKnight said. "I understand there are a lot of legends that went to that school and I think I might be putting them in my top five.
"I most definitely will be checking them out this year."
It's still early for the San Diego Mira Mesa standout who performed well at the Rivals Camp Series Southern California this spring but he does have a flexible top five at this point.
"I have an open top five," McKnight said.
"At No. 1, I have Washington, No. 2 is Cal, I'm thinking about putting USC at No. 3, No. 4 is ASU and then No. 5 is Oregon State. I looked into (Washington) and a lot of things I saw interested me. I love the coaching staff and I feel this vibe when I see them play."
Alabama, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are showing new interest in the 2016 receiver as well.
