Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County defensive end Byron McKnight attended several prospect camps this summer and is busy preparing for the forthcoming football season.
Recently, the 6-foot-4, 220-pounder attended camp at Virginia Tech.

"I didn't do so well up there," he said. "So I didn't like it as much."
The camp in Blacksburg was one of four that he attended this summer. N.C. State, Virginia and South Carolina were the others.
"At N.C. State, they really liked me up there," McKnight said. "They showed me different pass rush techniques. At Virginia, it was the same thing really, but we did more running and things like that.
"At South Carolina, I learned different pass rushing techniques that I hadn't learned before. That may help me during the season."
As far as recruiting goes, McKnight continues to draw interest from a couple of schools.
"The only teams sending me letters right now are South Carolina and North Carolina," he said.
He continues to workout, getting ready for next season.
"I'm just lifting weights right now and trying to get faster," McKnight said.
