McKinzy still firm to Auburn

Junior defensive standout Cassanova McKinzy of Birmingham (Ala.) Woodlawn, who committed to Auburn three weeks ago, showed up at Sunday's Rivals.com/VTO Sports Elite100 Camp in Leeds, Ala., sporting a Tigers cap.
Yet, the 6-foot-2, 230-pounder said he still intends to visit other schools this summer.

"I'll probably go to Alabama, FSU, Clemson and Arkansas," McKinzy said. "I'm still coming to the schools to weigh my options."
Despite that, McKinzy insists he isn't wavering and remains firm to the Tigers.
Although he said he is keeping an open mind he admitted "it could be hard" for someone to pull him out of his Auburn commitment.
McKinzy intends to visit Auburn this coming weekend for the program's spring game. That will be his "fifth or sixth trip" there, and with each visit he said he becomes more comfortable with the school, the program and the environment.
"Every time I go to Auburn, I get more and more excited," McKinzy said.
A three-year starter at Woodlawn, McKinzy said every school is recruiting him to play outside linebacker except FSU, which likes him at defensive end.
In the classroom, McKinzy said he is doing great after a slow start his ninth-grade year.
"It's been mostly A's from then on," he said.
