McKinley sees major interest

Javon McKinley is having a phenomenal junior season and has helped lead Corona (Calif.) Centennial to a deep playoff run.
Early in the season, Corona Centennial's offense was not clicking but that has drastically changed and McKinley has been a big part of the turnaround.

"I'm just happy with our overall team," McKinley said. "We really progressed throughout the season. We're really looking to take the CIF championship.
"Everybody was getting more comfortable with each other and executing and playing well together. We just really clicked on that and we brought it together."
So far, McKinely has been offered by UCLA, Arizona State, Washington, Washington State, Cal, Northwestern and Colorado.
Rated as the No. 28 wide receiver and the No. 162 prospect in the 2016 class by Rivals.com, McKinley has 78 receptions for 1,755 yards and 19 touchdowns so far this season.
Those kinds of numbers will definitely get the attention of college coaches across the country.
He's starting to receive serious interest from other top programs but the Corona Centennial standout said he's in no rush when it comes to his recruitment.
"I got a couple letters from Auburn and Notre Dame," McKinley said. "I've been hearing from others, too.
"I'm going to wait until after the season. I want to take my official visits maybe one during my senior season and then right after my senior year of football I will take the others and then make my decision."
