McKenzie stays busy with trips

Jaborian McKenzie of Natchez (Miss.) Trinity Episcopal had a busy and eventful weekend to say the least.
It included stops in Starkville, Miss., and Leeds, Ala.
On Friday, the 5-foot-9, 175-pound running back/slot receiver, who has FBS offers from Memphis, Southern Miss and Vanderbilt, visited Mississippi State, a program he hopes will soon be next to pull the trigger.
"It went well," McKenzie said. "Everything was good. I talked to [head coach Dan Mullen] and I talked to the running backs coach. They want me to come to a camp, and they said they're coming to my school in the spring."
According to McKenzie, the Bulldogs are giving him a positive vibe.
"I think an offer is coming," he said. "They told me they want to watch me in camp."
After checking out Mississippi State, McKenzie attended the Rivals/VTO Elite 100 camp the following day outside of Birmingham, where he was among the quickest players on hand.
"I think I did okay," McKenzie said.
This weekend, McKenzie will once again hit the road.
"I'm going to Vanderbilt," he said.
Besides the schools already mentioned, McKenzie said he is hearing from Mississippi and SMU. Because of his size, he is being recruited by most schools to play slot receiver.
As of now, McKenzie said he has "no leaders."
