McKenzie has three on top

Mobile (Ala.) Davidson defensive end/tight end Gabe McKenzie is one of the most sought after players in the South and seems to be narrowing down his list, which includes a top three.
“The main three schools on my list right now are Auburn, Miami and Florida,” McKenzie said. “Alabama, LSU and Florida State are all still in it. I haven’t set up any official visits yet, I plan on doing that after the season. I know my top three will get visits and I guess two of the other three will get visits.”

The 6-foot-3, 218-pound McKenzie runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, has a 320-pound bench press and a 405-pound squat.
“This weekend I am going to the Alabama-Mississippi State game,” McKenzie said. “Next weekend I am going to the Auburn-Georgia game. I couldn’t go anywhere this past weekend because our game was on Saturday.”
Even with the firing of Ron Zook, Florida has still managed to remain one of McKenzie’s top schools.
“They were really high on my list, maybe at the top,” McKenzie said. “I am still really high on them, but maybe not quite as much because I knew all of the coaches. I still plan on taking a visit there, but I want to take it after they hire the new coach.”
