McGriff now Auburn recruiter

Four-star athlete D'Anfernee McGriff of Tallahassee (Fla.) Leon committed to Auburn in April and says teams including Miami and South Carolina continue to come at him hard. However, he remains firm in his commitment to the Tigers and is focused on bringing more top recruits - specifically Trenton Thompson and Jeffery Holland - to Auburn.
He's in Thompson's ear the most.

"He's a big teddy bear," said McGriff, who stands at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds. "He just smiles. He said Auburn is his leader though. I told him how dominant of a class it would be if he comes."
As for McGriff, he said his decision to commit to Auburn has been rewarding in numerous ways.
"It's been amazing," he said. "It's a load off my back and I can focus more on school and my team. I knew Auburn was the place, it's been my favorite since the day they offered. I took my first visit and loved it."
McGriff said his next planned visit to Auburn is for the Tigers' season opener against Arkansas on Aug. 30.
Though he's firmly committed, he acknowledges his recruiting process isn't over until he signs his letter of intent and in the meantime, Miami and South Carolina are hoping to flip him.
"They're coming hard," he said. "But I tell them I'm committed to Auburn. As of right now, there's no one that can change my mind about that."
McGriff still plans on taking official visits and listed Auburn, Kentucky and Wisconsin as his only planned visits at the moment.
"Kentucky was the very first to offer me so I want to show them the love and respect back and at least check out their facilities," he said. "With Wisconsin, I've never been there before and the coaches are recruiting me as a running back so it doesn't hurt to see what else others have to offer. I haven't seen Wisconsin before so it will be like a blind date."
