McGrew taking important visits

Sean McGrew finished off the regular season last weekend in big fashion as he rushed for four scores to lead Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco past Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic.
It was just more evidence that McGrew, a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, is one of the top all-purpose backs in the 2016 class.

Rivals.com rates McGrew as the third-best all-purpose back and the No. 154 recruit. He has rushed for 1,450 yards and 21 touchdowns and has four receiving scores as well with the playoffs coming up.
"First half, we started off pretty good, the holes were definitely open," McGrew said.
"Second half, we definitely turned it on and the holes were just opening up huge. I just did my job, I was running as fast as I could making the safety miss and I did that quite a few times. I was happy about that and I give credit to my o-line."
The St. John Bosco standout recently took an unofficial visit to Cal and McGrew was definitely impressed. The Golden Bears would utilize him as a true all-purpose back and there is serious interest there.
"It's a stretch between slot and running back so I'll basically be an all-purpose back like I am now," McGrew said.
"I'll be catching passes out of the backfield like I am now. I definitely love the campus, my sister graduated from there so I'm familiar. This was the first time I've ever seen the facilities and that was pretty awesome. It was a great facility and I had a great time."
McGrew visited Washington this past weekend and UCLA is still one of the clear frontrunners in his recruitment. The 2016 prospect is still taking it slowly but he said the Huskies are recruiting him the hardest and the Bruins are right there as well.
"They're definitely recruiting me hard, harder than any other school that's recruiting me right now," McGrew said of Washington. "I'm definitely looking for just the way they run their offense to see if I could fit in well. That's the biggest thing.
"I would say UCLA and Washington are pretty close. They're still standing out to me a little bit. Coach (Jim) Mora has been reaching out to me, sending me The Drive episodes on Twitter which is pretty cool."
