McGinnis making plans

New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton four-star linebacker Arthur McGinnis has taken his time with the recruiting process. It has not been an easy task but he has narrowed his focus, and as he heads into the month of January he is looking at five.
"My top five schools are Georgia, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Arizona, and Oklahoma," McGinnis said.

Of those five, four schools are standing out.
"My top four schools are Arizona, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and (Texas) A&M," McGinnis said.
He is not quite ready to name a leader, but one could be coming in the near future.
McGinnis also has a few official visits on his schedule.
"The visits I have set up now are I go to Arizona on (January) 16th and after that I got invited to this West Coast Bowl so I won't be able to take visits that week and on the 30th I plan on going to Oklahoma."
However, he admits there is a little flexibility about his final visit.
"Yeah, the Oklahoma date is not set yet," McGinnis said. "I'm still debating on Texas Tech or Oklahoma because like I said I can visit two before Signing Day."
Following his visits McGinnis plans to sit down with his family and make a list of pros and cons and figure out his decision. While he may not be able to take all of his official visits before signing day, he does plan to sign on signing day.
McGinnis is currently ranked No. 20 among the nation's 2015 outside linebackers, and No. 14 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Postseason Top 50.
As a senior he recorded 108 tackles, 20 sacks, 24 tackles for loss, 58 quarterback hurries, seven pass break-ups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a punt block.
