McGillicuddy interested in Irish

Notre Dame's rebound from their season opening loss at Brigham Young has opened the eyes of college football fans all across the country. It's also having an impact on recruits such as offensive/defensive lineman James McGillicuddy.
"I'd say Notre Dame is definitely in my top five right now," said McGillicuddy. "They've really played well early this year. Stanford, Duke, Boston College, Notre Dame and Tennessee are the five I like best. Notre Dame and Tennessee haven't offered me yet, but their coaches just want to watch one game tape and said they probably would."

What schools has McGillicuddy been hearing from lately?
"I got a call from Coach Fulmer the other day and Tennessee is recruiting me pretty hard. I'm also hearing from Stanford, Duke, Syracuse, Rutgers, UConn and a few others pretty consistently. I'm not saying I won't look at schools outside my top five, but I think those are the schools I'd lke to officially visit."
While he'd like to officially visit those schools, he hasn't gone about setting up those visits yet.
"That's something I should probably get started on," he laughed. "I haven't thought about it too much yet, but I know a lot of guys don't take their officials until later on in the process. If I had to choose where I'd go today I would definitely go to my top five."
McGillicuddy has been a menace for opposing offenses early in his senior season.
"We're 2-1 and doing pretty well. It's kind of frustrating for me personally though. I don't mind being double-teamed all the time so much, but they run just about everything away from me. I think the last game they ran near me twice. I'm freeing up some other guys to make plays, but I'd like to make a few more tackles."
McGillicuddy doesn't have a timeframe for when he'd like to make his decision, but did say he would probably wait until at least after his season.
