McGill has a top five

Three-star defensive tackle Demetri McGill claims a dozen scholarships. The 6-foot-2, 297-pounder noted five schools are standing out, what's the latest?
"I'm still in touch with all my coach, but I haven't narrowed my list," he said. "I like Maryland, East Carolina, James Madison, Old Dominion and Cincinnati.

"Those are probably my leaders for officials. I haven't been to Cincinnati. I would like to go up there and see them. I have visited James Madison for a game this fall and I liked it up there.
"As for the rest, I like Maryland, East Carolina and Old Dominion. I just want to go and see more on an official visit for a weekend. I am going to take my official visits."
Is there something McGill is looking for when the officials come?
"I just want to see how I fit in, how they can help me with my school work and of course the football too."
McGill has helped Ocean Lakes to a 7-0 record this season.
"I'm doing well," he said. "I know I have seven sacks right now and somewhere around 50 tackles.
"I'm getting a lot more double teams this year, but I feel I am faster and using my hands more. I'm also just being a leader more than I was last year."
