McGhee stout in the middle

Oxford (Miss.) linebacker Mike McGhee is a stout 5-foot-11, 238-pounds and he is an intimidating presence in the middle of the Chargers defense.
College coaches took notice. Offers from Alcorn State and Southern are already on the table, and interest is coming in from across the region.

"Lately there's been a lot of schools coming in like Southern Miss, UCLA, Ole Miss, State, and Louisiana Tech," McGhee said. "All the coaches have been getting me their stuff on Twitter and they want me to come to their junior days and their camps this summer. That's pretty much it."
So far he has taken two trips. He visited Ole Miss and Memphis, and he enjoyed aspects of both programs.
"I love everything they have to offer," McGhee said of Ole Miss. "Like all the new equipment and the new lunchroom they have right next to the weight room. That's definitely a good thing and something that makes them stick out."
"I like the linebacker coach," he said of Memphis. "He's a real nice, cool guy. He just shoots you straight forward and just tell you. He's not going to tell you what you want to hear, he's going to tell you straight up what it is."
Memphis is trying to get him back on campus for a visit in the spring, and the Tigers along with Ole Miss and Mississippi State are showing the most interest at this point.
As a junior, McGhee's presence was hard to ignore on the defensive side for Mississippi's 5A state runner-up. He was the Chargers' leading tackler with 153 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, 5 sacks, and an interception.
