Chino (Calif.) defensive back Ryan McFoy took an official visit to USC this past weekend. With his older brother Chris on the team and a self admitted, 'fan' of the Trojans already, the safety went in to the trip hoping to pick up a scholarship offer.
McFoy, 6-2, 190 pounds has previously visited Arizona State and Utah and was hopeful a scholarship offer would be coming his way this past weekend.
"No, they haven't offered me yet," McFoy said. "They said they need to wait on my semester grades to come in before they can offer and that will be later this month. I'm going to just wait it out and see what happens with my grades. I really like USC a lot and if they offer, I'll go ahead and commit on the spot.
"The trip was cool, even though I basically already knew everything about SC. I've been there a ton of times and I'm really comfortable with the players and coaches already. I know they have some other good safeties coming in but I'm not worried about competition. The coaches told me the best players will play and I'll compete with anyone. They like me for free safety and I spent a lot of time with Coach Burns going over their defense and how I could be used if I went there.
"My brother hosted me Friday and then Cary Harris hosted me on Saturday. I saw a lot more of the campus then I had seen before and the highlight for me was probably going to the Clippers game when they played Seattle and sitting in the skyboxes there. I'm going to visit Oregon next weekend (Jan. 20) and I still like Utah and Arizona State a lot.
"All of the schools have told me that I can take as long as I need before I decide so I'm just going to take this next visit and then wait and see what happens with USC before making a decision."
