Hollywood (Fla.) McArthur defensive back Kendrell McFadden is nearing a decision after naming his top five. Alabama, Clemson, Miami, Notre Dame, and Ohio State sit at the top of his wish list. Florida State is on the outside looking in despite his family ties to the 'Noles. McFadden's cousin Bryant McFadden played for FSU before playing seven years in the NFL.
The four-star prospect is scheduled to visit the Miami-Georgia Tech game this weekend. He said, "I'm going to be focusing on how the coach communicates with the DB's, how he teaches them after they make mistake and things like that."

Defensive coordinator Mark D'Onofrio is recruiting McFadden for the 'Canes. He said he has a good relationship with Coach D. They came by in the spring and his relationship took off from there.
This Friday, his team will take on Miramar (Fla.). He hopes the UM coaches come out to his game. The Rivals250 to Watch presented by Under Armour standout knows where he wants to go, but he is waiting for the right time to announce. His birthday is coming up this month and there is a possibility he decides then.
McFadden said his comfort level with the coaching staff will be very important in his decision. He stated, "I'm going to choose the school based on the coaches. I always say the players are a reflection of the coach, so that it's important."
He grew up a fan of the late Sean Taylor. McFadden wears No. 26 just like the former Miami star.
Last season, McFadden recorded 33 tackles and two interceptions returning one for a touchdown.
