McEntee gets his first offer

Galena Park (Texas) North Shore has had a long run of producing Division I athletes. This year, defensive lineman Chase McEntee is taking the baton.
McEntee is a three-year starter on a state-recognized team, which is 4-0 with wins over area powers Eisenhower, Aldine, The Woodlands and Deer Park.

While surprise senior quarterback Jermiah McGinty has led the offense with his arm, McEntee's defense has shut down opponents when the Mustangs have needed a stop.
"Chase is a worker and is so dependable in the middle of that line," North Shore coach David Aymond said. "He has a motor that opponents can't match, period."
The 6-1, 252-pound defender received his first offer from Air Force and is nearing offers from Stephen F. Austin and Texas State. He is also hearing from the likes of Arizona State, Houston, TCU and Fresno State.
"I really like Fresno State," he said. "Coach (Tim) Skipper is a great recruiter and they play really tough. I was rooting for them against Texas A&M. I like Air Force, but I really have to think about that commitment."
McEntee and his team faces LaPorte High School this weekend where his run-stopping play will be on display.
