McDowell staying patient

Three-star Tucker (Ga.) quarterback D.T. McDowell has delayed his decision until signing day.
“I’ve still not decided where I’m going to go,” he said. “I’m split down the middle right now (between Mississippi State and Troy State).

“I’ll probably talk it over with my parents some more tonight and with my coach tomorrow at school. I’ll make my announcement then.”
McDowell (6-1, 190, 4.57) was once committed to Nebraska but re-opened his recruitment when the Cornhuskers withdrew the opportunity to play quarterback. He took an official visit to Mississippi State last weekend.
He is rated the No. 12 dual-threat quarterback in the nation by Rivals.com. He’s also a top baseball prospect who would like to pursue both sports at the college level.
