Position: Offensive lineman
Size and speed: McDonald is 6-foot-5 and 245 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 5.15 seconds.
Statistics: McDonald bench presses 290 pounds and squats 425. He has a 3.99 GPA and scored a 30 on the ACT.
Favorite Schools: Illinois.
Skinny: Ryan's father Phil McDonald was a three year starter at center for Illinois. Ryan, an all-area selection his junior season, helped lead his team to an 8-3 record.
"Probably my top six schools would be Illinois, Michigan, Purdue, Northwestern, Notre Dame, and Nebraska," Ryan said. "I've been to all of them except Nebraska."
"Probably Illinois would be my favorite. But I get more stuff from Michigan and Northwestern."
"Purdue and I believe Northwestern have visited my school. I was told Michigan would be there this week."
