San Antonio (Texas) Taft wide receiver Otis McDaniel has wrapped up a busy spring and is now ready for his summer activities.

"Between track and all the calls during this past month it has been pretty busy," the 6-foot-1, 175-pound McDaniel said. "It really went pretty good though."
The Wisconsin Badgers have jumped into the mix for the talented wide out by placing their scholarship offer on the table.
"Wisconsin has offered me now. Oklahoma, Purdue and TCU had already offered scholarships earlier."
Two camps are already on the calendar for McDaniel.
"I am going to Texas and TCU for camps for sure. I will probably try to get some others too, but I don't know which ones yet."
McDaniel doesn't anticipate making any unofficial visits over the next few months.
"I've been to Texas and Texas A&M quite a bit already. And, those two are the only schools that are really close to me. So, I don't think I'll try and drive to any others yet."
A decision won't come before school starts in the fall, but McDaniel doesn't look to drag the process out too long.
"I would think I will make my choice in late October or early November most likely. That will give me time to talk to the coaches at the schools and visit with them about how I will fit into their programs."
McDaniel, a talented trackster, plans to compete in both sports in college.
"I will be running track in college. That is very important to me. I do the 100-meter, 200-meter, the triple jump and the long jump."
McDaniel just completed his junior track season with four state track meet finishes.
"I took third in the 100 with a 10.54 second time. I took sixth in the 200 and eighth in both the long and triple jumps."
