McDaniel has early top three

Ryan McDaniel had a surprising top three of Arizona State, UCLA and Washington last week at the B2G Elite Camp but there was one caveat - USC had just offered and he has not done enough research on the Trojans so at some point they're expected to move into that top group.
"Right now I'm in the evaluating process," McDaniel said. "I'm not going to decide until my senior football season because I want to keep my word.

"I told all the schools I'm going to wait and I'm going to check out every school, every possible option. Every offer I have I'm interested in and now I just have to get to the evaluations now."
The offer from USC to play linebacker was big and also surprising since McDaniel, a powerful 6-foot, 226-pound prospect, didn't think he'd hear much about an offer from the Trojans until after his senior season.
McDaniel will definitely take it and said he has to do lots of research on USC because it will probably be one of his favorites moving forward.
"I thought they were going to offer me at the end of my senior season," McDaniel said. "I thought I'd go to Rising Stars (Camp), show that I was interested in them, and I guess it paid off.
"Right now my top three is ASU, UCLA and Washington and then USC is going to be somewhere in there. They're in the mix but I just haven't had time to evaluate them much yet."
Arizona State likes McDaniel at linebacker, Washington prefers him at running back and UCLA told him he could play either position.
Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Colorado, Idaho, Iowa State, Nevada, Utah State, Washington and Washington State have also offered McDaniel, who's rated No. 29 at running back in the 2012 class by Rivals.com.
