McCray will take official visits
JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Jacksonville (Fla.) Andrew Jackson defensive end/tight end D'Angelo McCray looked solid in his team's spring game on Thursday night at First Coast High. McCray, a pre-evaluation Rivals100 selection, moves well for a prospect his size and spoke with Rivals.com about his showing and his recruitment following the game.
McCray has been committed to Florida for some time, but a recent scholarship offer from Southern California has opened the door somewhat.

"I'm at Florida right now," McCray said. "But I am still going to take all of my visits and see what other places have to offer."
McCray said Southern California, Notre Dame, Florida State, Clemson and LSU are all possible visit destinations.
Florida head coach Urban Meyer, along with several assistants from Florida State and Central Florida, were at First Coast to watch McCray and other prospects, including First Coast cornerback Jamire Williams. Williams enjoyed a strong outing and could be on the verge of adding to his offer list.
McCray plans to work on his game this summer.
"I think I need to work on getting some more speed," he said. "I just need to work hard in the weight room and keep getting better."
Glades Central has another prospect
Belle Glade (Fla.) Glades Central is home to multiple top prospects, including wide receiver Deonte Thompson and offensive lineman Ernest McCoy, safety Damien Berry and others.
Thursday night, another defensive prospect emerged during the Raiders' spring scrimmage against Daytona Beach Mainland.
The Glades Central coaching staff lined Semori Novembre up in the interior of the defensive line and at defensive end during the course of the game and turned him loose in the pass-rush. The result was the 6-foot-3, 210-pounder making a multiple sacks and tackles for loss.
"I think I did a good job, but I know I can do better," Novembre said.
Novembre, who played linebacker up until this season, has long arms and is rangy and strong. He projects as a linebacker at the next level and if Thursday night was any indication, he will make the transition with no problem.
Rutgers, West Virginia and Florida Atlantic are showing interest in Novembre.
Maurice Bynes claims scholarship offers from Auburn and West Virginia and said that LSU, Florida International and South Florida are showing him interest.
"Recruiting is going a little slow right now," he said. "But it will pick up in the end."
Thompson told Rivals.com that things are "still the same" with regards to the schools he is considering. Miami (Fla.) and Florida are strong with Thompson at this time, but most of the schools he lists are still being considered.
