McCray sets sights on NC State

If everything goes as smoothly as Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor safety Boogie McCray hopes it will, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound defensive back will be officially heading to NC State when Signing Day rolls around.
While McCray is sure that Raleigh is where he wants to spend his college years, he has to work out a few details before he is able to bank on that happening.

"Well, I told them I wanted to commit on about Monday but they've got to get my transcript before we can do anything or make it official," he said.
"I went up to the Miami game this past week and I liked it a lot. They've done a good job this year. The coaches are doing well, coaching those guys never to give up."
McCray said if all goes according to plan -- though a lot is still apparently up in the air -- he will be a solid verbal for the Wolfpack.
He had a big season for Lake Taylor as a senior this year. Lake Taylor lost in the regional championship game of the state playoffs.
On the year, McCray rushed for 1,535 yards and 18 touchdowns. He also had 220 receiving yards with four more scores, and defensively he tallied 11 sacks and an interception.
