Seffner (Fla.) Armwood running back Demetrius McCray, like many high school football players are this time of year is focused on one thing, winning a state championship
“I have not set up any official visits yet,” McCray said.
“I told all the schools recruiting me that I did not want to set up my official visits until after the play-offs. I am just trying to focus on that right now.”
The 6-foot-0, 180-pound McCray runs the 40-yard dash in an impressive 4.4 seconds and has a 325-pound bench press.
“The five schools that I will probably take official visits to are Iowa, Kansas State, Rutgers, New Mexico and Indiana,” McCray said. “Auburn and South Carolina are still in it, but I haven’t really heard much from North Carolina in a while.”
Through nine games this season McCray has carried the ball 80 times for 1,100 yards and 17 touchdowns.
