McCoy seals the deal

It seemed like only a matter of time but Fresno (Calif.) Bullard athlete Anthony McCoy decided to pull the trigger and committed earlier this week to longtime favorite USC.
"Yeah, Anthony committed earlier in the week when SC came in for a home visit," McCoys father said. "It really has been USC for a long time but we're all new to this whole recruiting thing and we advised Anthony to take his time to be sure of his decision.

"I think any of had any doubt that it was going to be USC so Anthony just decided to go ahead and make the commitment. Coach Seto came over to the house last week and that's when Anthony decided to go ahead and seal the deal. It's really flattering for us to have the No. 1 program in the nation want you. It's a great school, close to home and Anthony is excited to be a Trojan that's for sure."
McCoy, 6-5, 235 pounds is one of the top athletes in the West region and could line up at receiver, tight end or defensive end for the Trojans. He said USC is recruiting him as a wide receiver/tight end but he definitely wants a shot at receiver.
"That's all I've ever played and all I really know," McCoy said. "I mean, I play defense too but I really like receiver and I think I have the speed and athleticism to play there. I know people look at my size and see a tight end but I want a shot at receiver and USC said I'll have one."
McCoy will take his official visit to USC this coming weekend.
