McCoy picks up three offers

"Rico just received offers from Ohio State, Virginia and North Carolina," said Reggie McCoy, the father of Washington (D.C.) St. John's College linebacker/running back Rico McCoy. "UNC is kind of like my hometown team, as I grew up about 20 miles away from the campus. All his grandparents are from North Carolina, so that's in their favor."
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound athlete already had scholarship offers from schools like Boston College, Maryland, Syracuse, Pitt and others, and more may be on the way.
"We're hoping that Nebraska kind of puts the icing on the cake by offering here soon. They visited here not too long ago and they talked and talked. Rico is never at a loss for words," his father laughed. "If Rico receives offers from them, Miami and Southern Cal, he might shut things down and just tell everyone else that he has enough schools to choose from. But those three are so big in the college football world you have to be open to them."
The Hurricanes have a great shot to land McCoy, should they choose to offer.
"Miami is going to remain a constant with Rico. The proof is in the pudding with them. They win all the time and put guys in the league. He's not looking at Penn State anymore."
