McCoy looking toward big visit

Ricky McCoy could be looking to make a change.
The three-star tight end from Fresno (Calif.) Roosevelt has been committed to Arizona since March but he has not talked to the coaching staff in a long time and he's planning to take a visit to Washington next month.

If things go well, it sounds like McCoy could very well flip his commitment.
"I haven't talked to Arizona in about two or three months so I don't know what they're thinking," McCoy said. "They were pretty upset that I was talking about taking a visit to Washington.
"It's a pretty big one. I talk to the (Washington) coaches very often, pretty much every week, and I have a pretty big opportunity to go over there and play early. It's a good setting and all that stuff so I'm going with my father to check it out and make some decisions from there."
McCoy, rated as the No. 29 tight end in the 2015 class by Rivals.com, plans to visit Washington for the weekend of Jan. 16. There is also a possibility he takes trips to Cal and San Jose State but that is still being determined and wouldn't happen until January as well.
Washington is by far the biggest threat to Arizona at this point and looks like the likely destination for the Fresno Roosevelt standout if his upcoming trip goes well.
McCoy likes the coaching staff and now wants to see if it could be the best fit for him.
"They're really friendly and they seem like the kind of guys you can be around for the next four or five years that you could really call a family," McCoy said.
