Linebacker Rico McCoy has plenty of speed, and schools are taking notice of his potential. Where do things stand for the athletic D.C. prospect?
"A lot of schools are starting to show me more interest," said McCoy. "Ohio State, one of the best programs in the country, is letting me know that they like me a lot. I'd definitely be interested if they offered. And NC State is showing a lot more interest in me than they were at one time. They love speed on defense and think I'd be a good fit. I know they have a good program."
While neither the Buckeyes or the Wolfpack have offered the 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker from Washington (D.C.) St. John's College, McCoy already has several options.
"I have offers from Syracuse, Maryland, Boston College and Pittsburgh, and all four are good schools. I think I'll be getting more, but I couldn't go wrong with any of those."
McCoy has visited Pittsburgh and Maryland recently, and he plans on taking more trips and camping at several locations in the coming months.
