McCormick still firm with Ducks

Cam McCormick committed to Oregon over half a year ago but that hasn't prevented other coaches from reaching out.
Still, the three-star tight end from Bend (Ore.) Summit said he's completely firm with the Ducks and doesn't anticipate taking any other visits as he focuses on his return to the field from a knee injury.

WHAT'S NEXT?: The 6-foot-5, 225-pound had successful surgery Wednesday and said his recovery timetable is in the neighborhood of six months, meaning he'll miss the remainder of his senior season. He had already set his official visit to Oregon but said that's probably going to change now that he's sidelined.
IN HIS WORDS: "I hear a lot from Michigan," McCormick told Rivals.com. "I also hear from Arizona and Washington State. But I'm locked in with Oregon.
"My official was set for Oct. 10 but I might need to change that due to surgery and recovery."
RIVALS' REACTION: It's no secret that the Ducks operate differently than many other programs, and that carries over into recruiting. Prospects committed to Oregon typically don't take other visits and those committed to other programs aren't really allowed to step foot on campus in an official manner unless they have backed off their pledge. McCormick has built a close bond with several other Oregon commits, including in-state recruits Brady Breeze and Lamar Winston, so it's difficult to envision their stance changing before national signing day, no matter which other schools enter the picture.
