McCollough keeping options open

Cornerback Jamari McCollough is one of the best athletes in this year's class, so it's no surprise schools have been quick to offer in an attempt to influence him early. That doesn't mean he's in a rush to make a decision.

"To tell you the truth I've really been impressed with every coach I've talked to," said McCollough. "They'll all been very impressive and informative. Right now I'm keeping my options open. I have offers from Maryland, Connecticut, Virginia Tech, Michigan State, Rutgers, Temple, Purdue and Ball State right now and I'm considering all of them."
The 5-foot-11, 177-pound cornerback from Randallstown, Maryland has great instincts in the secondary and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. What qualities is he looking for in a school?
"I want a school that gives me the opportunity to compete in the classroom and on the field. I'm also going to choose a school that has a history of putting guys in the League."
McCollough has already participated in the Elite Camp in New Jersey and the NIKE Camp in Happy Valley. He also plans on camping at Maryland, Virginia Tech and perhaps Florida. McCollough is a hard worker committed to improving his game.
"I'm a perfectionist," he said. "I train hard and play hard."
