McCarthy waiting on additional offers
"I've already taken a visit to Toledo," Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney standout Kyle McCarthy said. "And I have a visit set up to Navy Jan. 14. That's a big honor, so I want to take a look.
"I'm hoping for (scholarship) offers from Ohio State, Boston College, Northwestern, and Notre Dame.

"I've had home visits from Northwestern and Boston College. Coach Tressel has called. All of them are calling and keeping in touch. Wisconsin has been to my school a couple times.
"I want to see who offers. Now that I've sent my senior film out, I think some of them will."
The 6-foot-0 and 173 pound McCarthy did it all in leading Mooney to a state championship this season. McCarthy rushed for over 1000 yards, passed for 900, made 38 tackles, and intercepted four passes. He is being recruited as an "athlete."
