McCarthy commits to Notre Dame
Three-star athlete Kyle McCarthy of Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney pulled the trigger on a commitment to Notre Dame while in South Bend on his official visit.
"Everyone told me once you get that feeling you'll know it," McCarthy said. "I got that feeling (on the visit to Notre Dame)."

McCarthy made official visits to Notre Dame, Ohio State, Navy, and Toledo before selecting the Irish. All of those schools offered McCarthy a scholarship.
McCarthy is ranked as the nation's No. 68 athlete and he's also ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 33 player in Ohio. He led his team to a state championship this season playing quarterback and defensive back.
