McCall returns from Arizona

One of the Juco level’s top tight end prospects Brandyn McCall (6-5, 245, 4.66) from Huntington Beach (Calif.) Golden West College just returned from his trip to Arizona. The talented tight end was in audience for the classic Arizona/ASU rivalry game that the Wildcats won 34-27.
Though McCall had a great time at Arizona he resisted the temptation of committing.

“The trip went really good,” McCall said. “I enjoyed the game and though I thoroughly enjoyed everything about Arizona, I did not commit.”
“I needed to come back home and talk to my parents and my (Golden West College) coaches,” McCall said. “I plan on making my decision pretty quickly after I talk to my parents and coaches.”
“I liked Arizona trip the best, definitely,” McCall said. “I was there with about 10 other players and I think B.J. Vickers and I were the only ones who did not commit on the spot.”
McCall had tentative visits set to Colorado and Wisconsin, but it doesn’t appear that those trips will take place because it is a neck-to-neck photo finish between Arizona and Missouri.
Originally from Hawai’i, Arizona coaches will be in McCall’s parents home in Hawai’i tomorrow (Tuesday November 30th) and Missouri’s coaches will visit with McCall’s parents next week.
Missouri’s representatives will visit McCall and his Golden West College coaches today.
One thing that Arizona may have in their favor is there is a huge opening at the tight end position so the chance for early playing time. Missouri the other school in the hunt there is a chance for some playing time but nearly as much as Arizona.
The Wildcats also did a nice job getting the ball to their tight end in Friday’s game and the Wildcat tight end even caught a touchdown pass.
McCall will return to Hawai’i for Christmas on December 16th and he wants to make his decision before then.
McCall has been selected all-conference both his freshman and sophomore seasons. He is a January graduate and has three years to play two.
Whoever signs McCall will have his services for spring drills.
