With an offer officially extended, McCall made his way to the Tampa campus on Saturday to attend a portion of their Junior Day practice before heading to a practice with his Team Tampa 7-on-7 teammates.
"I went over there and left early to come out here and practice," McCall said. "I liked it a lot. It is a nice place. I like the coaches."
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound prospect said that the coaching staff at USF filled him in on how he would be utilized in their defensive scheme.
"They were telling me about the defense," McCall said. "I talked with the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach and they were just telling me how the defense is. I like what they do."
McCall, who is receiving significant interest from Tennessee, Michigan, Purdue, Georgia, and Ohio State, said that the proximity to home of USF is something that may play in their favor.
"It is pretty appealing because they are the local school," McCall said.
