Despite having a new head coach, Klein (Texas) Collins High School is once again on the map with solid Division I prospects. One of the biggest in talent and stature is offensive tackle Nathan McCage who says that he's in the process of delivering his verbal commitment.

McCage, a 6-foot-4, 240-pound quick offensive lineman, received a scholarship offer from UTEP. The talented young man says that he's in the process of playing phone tag with Miner head coach Mike Price.
"Well, I'm trying to commit with UTEP, but they haven't answered their phone yet," McCage said. "They e-mailed me back and I do want to commit there. I just need to get them on the phone."
McCage said that of all the camps he went to, the UTEP coaching staff showed him the most attention.
"I wanted to stay in Texas and I enjoyed their camp so much, it just felt like a good decision," he said. "I didn't have any other offers at the time."
McCage says at this point, he is "still looking at his options" and is listed as a soft commitment.
"I think Tulsa could offer me," McCage said. "They wanted me to go to their camp on July 22."
Aside from recruitment, McCage is excited for a fresh start as a senior with a new head coach and new motivation from his teammates.
"We want to be the first team in Klein Collins history to win a playoff game," he said. "We're kind of mad after going 3-7 last year. We're excited about our new coach and want to do really well."
