Geismar (La.) Dutchtown three-star wide receiver Corey McBride enters into the final weekend of the recruiting process with a decision to make. He committed to Arkansas in July, but as signing day approaches, he finds himself looking over his options. He has plenty at this point.
"It's good I guess," McBride said. "A lot of people came back in the recruiting picture. You know TCU, Utah, Louisville, Western Kentucky, ULL, ULM, and other schools…Southeastern."
TCU, Utah, Louisville, and Western Kentucky are the main four he is eyeing, and this weekend he plans to take a visit to one of them.
"Yeah, I'm taking a visit to TCU on Friday and I'll be back Sunday," McBride said.
The standout receiver also admits the Horned Frogs may just be at the top of his list at the moment.
"Yeah they are. I'm not going to lie to you," McBride said. "I was committed to Arkansas and they were still trying to get me and stuff. I was pretty interested, but I couldn't really do much. They're a school I've been interested in for awhile so it's going to be fun going up there to see what they're about."
With a favorite in mind and a visit planned, the recruiting process is moving along pretty well at this point. McBride has not counted out the possibility of signing on signing day, but he is not ready to commit to the idea just yet.
"Yeah, I was planning on it, but if I have to wait, like if something doesn't go right I can wait," McBride said.
McBride is currently ranked a 5.5, 3-star and is ranked No. 39 in the Rivals.com Louisiana Postseason Top 40.
