McAndrew talks about his latest offer

Glenbard West High School (Ill.) defensive end/tight end prospect Tom McAndrew (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) has indeed received a scholarship offer from the Michigan State Spartans.

"The coaches from Michigan State called me last night (Wednesday) and said that they were sending me a scholarship offer," Tom McAndrew said. "We talked about the Spartans football program on the phone, and I'm really excited about getting an offer from Michigan State. If I eventually decided to go to Michigan State, I wouldn't need to change my school colors at all."

"I made an unofficial visit to East Lansing on my spring break with my family, and overall I came away very impressed with Michigan State. The facilities are great and I also was impressed with the whole academic support system for athletes at Michigan State. Everything was first class on my visit and I'm very excited about getting an offer from the Spartans."

Tom McAndrew has scholarship offers from Arizona, Illinois, Michigan State, Stanford, Boston College, Northwestern, Indiana and the University of Pittsburgh.
