McAndrew is excited about his latest offer

Glenbard West High School (Ill.) defensive end/tight end prospect Tom McAndrew (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) has added his 6th scholarship offer, and McAndrew is excited about his latest offer.
"I received an offer from the University of Illinois last Friday," Tom McAndrew said. "Coach (Ron) Turner made an in school visit on Friday morning and they told my coach that they were going to offer me a scholarship. I received the paperwork on Monday in the mail."
"I'm very excited about getting an offer from the Illini and my family is excited as well. You always want to get some respect and recruiting interest from the Illini when your from Illinois, and the coaches decided to offer me early. I camped at Illinois last summer and I worked out as a linebacker. I really enjoyed the camp and the Illini are recruiting me as a defensive end, just like everyone else."
McAndrew has also drawn his share of in school visitors. "Illinois was in school last week, and this week Coach John L. Smith from Michigan State made a visit. Northwestern and Coach (Randy) Walker was in school this week, and Purdue will be making a visit this week along with Stanford and Kansas."
Tom McAndrew has scholarship offers from Illinois, Michigan State, Stanford, Boston College, Indiana and the University of Pittsburgh.
