Mbanasor names top seven

Pflugerville (Texas) Hendrickson Rivals250 defensive back P.J. Mbanasor took to Twitter Thursday morning to issue an announcement.
He has been planning the May 29 announcement of his top programs since mid-May and Thursday morning he followed through as he began tweeting out his top programs one-by-one.

First came his opening statement.
"Blessed to wake up and have another opportunity to play the sport I love," Mbanasor tweeeted. "I wake up every morning taking nothing for granted, not everyone gets this opportunity. Thank you to anyone that supports me. Thank you to the schools and coaches that showed genuine interest and extended offers. Here's my top 7. No order. Let the hate begin (: Lol."
Then came the great reveal
First there was Nebraska, followed by Notre Dame. Then Michigan State and Oklahoma. Next was Ohio State and then Florida. And last but not least LSU.
Following his announcement, he summed up his reasoning on why each of the schools made his top seven.
"They all are schools that have caught my eye the most during this process and have checks on my list," Mbanasor said.
The standout defenders also holds offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Louisville, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Oregon State, Penn State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, UCLA, Wake Forest, Washington State, and Wisconsin.
In January, Mbanasor committed to TCU following the Horned Frogs' Junior Day. Then the offers began to pour in over the weeks and months following. In March, Mbanasor re-opened his recruiting process and began to look at his options. That brings us around to Thursday morning, when he announced his top seven.
Mbanasor is currently ranked No. 232 in the Rivals250, No. 23 among the nation's cornerbacks, and No. 28 in the Rivals.com Texas Preseason Top 100.
