Mbakogu delayed on return from LSU
Hayward, Calif., defensive end Phillip Mbakogu took his final official visit this weekend.
“He missed a plane on his trip home,” Mbakogu’s father said. “So, he will be late getting home. We talked about his visit some. He said it went well and he enjoyed himself. He didn’t get into too many specifics since he had missed a plane.

“He did tell me his talk with Coach (Nick) Saban went well. I think he has enjoyed the talks with every head coach. He did not make a decision yet. We are going to sit down and talk about all of the schools and then make a decision some time. We aren’t going to rush it.”
The four-star rated Mbakogu also visited Notre Dame, California, Kansas State and Oregon before his trip to LSU.
“He has a lot of good schools to choose from. So, he can’t really go wrong. We’ll find out more when he gets home.”
