Mays eyes options

Houston (Texas) Kinkaid wide receiver [db]Sam Mays[/db] recorded over 1,000 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns on 60 receptions in 2013, and helped the Falcons to an 11-0 championship season.
College coaches were quick to take notice of the 6-foot-3, 180-pound standout.

"I have offers from Illinois, UofH, Fresno State, North Texas, BYU, and Southern Miss," Mays said.
Of his offers a few schools have shown more attention than others.
"I've been in contact more with Fresno State, UofH, and Illinois out of the offers I have right now," Mays said. "Probably Illinois and Fresno State, they're a tie as far as being in the most contact. I saw both of the coaches this past week during our spring."
With that said, it should come as no surprise Mays has developed the strongest relationships with coaches from Illinois and Fresno State.
"From Illinois I've talked to coach Bellamy, and from Fresno State I've talked to coach Toth, who offered me," Mays said.
In addition to his scholarship offers there are other schools in pursuit.
"I still talk to other schools. Recently UT, Kansas, TCU, Michigan State, and (Texas) A&M came by this past week," Mays said. "I'm just enjoying it for right now."
His summer schedule also looks to be packed. He is not playing AAU basketball this summer and he plans to hit the summer camp circuit.
"I'm still trying to figure out my camp schedule. I don't have that completely etched in stone yet, but I will attending camps this summer," Mays said. "I'll probably be at the UT, A&M, Missouri, TCU, SMU, Baylor, and schools like that probably."
At this point in the process, Mays is not ready to name any leaders.
"I'm still in the weighing it out process," Mays said. "When I do begin to narrow it down I'll talk it over more with my parents. As of now it's nowhere near that time."
