Size and Speed: Lindsey is 6-foot-3 and 193 pounds. He has been timed in the 40-yard dash at 4.8 and he shouldn’t have a problem qualifying with a 3.55 grade point average and a score of 1030 on the SAT.
Honors: As a junior Lindsey earned a spot on the Gainesville Sun’s all-area team.
Statistics:
In his junior season, Lindsey only played in eight games due to a broken fibula. In those games, he passed for 925 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Favorites: Lindsey lists Auburn, Florida State and Florida as his early favorites.
Skinny: Mayo, (Fla.) Lafayette is home of one of the toughest players in the state. Quarterback Aaron Lindsey broke his fibula mid-way through his junior season but he had the determination to return in time for the playoffs. He missed a total of five games. Several teams like Florida, Auburn, Florida State and South Florida plan on stopping by his school during the May evaluation period to take a look.
Last year as a junior, the strong-armed quarterback completed 49 passes on only 95 attempts for 950 yards and 12 touchdowns.
What does Lindsey think separates his game from the average high school quarterback?
“I’m tougher than most quarterbacks,” said Lindsey. “I played with a broken leg. Another one of my strengths is my ability to read defenses by watching a lot of film and running a lot of skeleton drills.”
Lindsey, who’s favorite professional quarterback is Joe Montana, will keep busy this summer by camping at Auburn, Florida, and Florida State.
