Mayo was hosted by Antwan Stewart.
"He is from Virginia, so that made me feel comfortable. I really like the people down there. The facilities are incredible and the stadium is the biggest I have ever seen. Tennessee has that football feel about it. Everyone down there knows everything about Tennessee football. The coaches are great and I feel good about the education I would get at Tennessee."
Does Jerod have a favorite?
"No, I am open right now. My favorites are Virginia, Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and North Carolina State. The in-state schools may have a slight advantage, but none of them are that far away."
Mayo has one visit remaining. He travels to Virginia Tech on Jan. 23. He plans on having a press conference at his school on Feb. 2 to announce his decision.
