Skinny: Newman is one of the best players many people haven’t heard about. Though he isn’t that well-known among recruitneks, because he plays on team that has some highly honored football players, he is known among some of the nation’s best college football programs. This search and destroy middle linebacker is one to watch in 2003.
Newman is the prototypical middle linebacker prospect in terms of aggression and his love for hitting. He is an intense player and very physical. Newman has that nasty attitude you love to see in a linebacker. He has great vision and is able to find the football. Once he finds the ball carrier he blows the play up.
Newman approaches the game of football with a blue collar workman like manner.
Newman wants to play middle linebacker on the next level, but he could grow into a defensive lineman.
Does Newman have a favorite school?
“Colorado has been showing a lot of interest and the Buffs have always been one of my favorites,” Newman said. “So when they started to talk to me I was pretty excited.”
